The Hallow by AMechanicalMind The Hallow by AMechanicalMind
buy: [link]

The Hallow was created with nineteen different recycled watch stems. Each stem was snipped into the correct size for a "bone" in each finger, and each bone was soldered together with lead free silver bearing solder to produce a finger. When all fingers were created, they were soldered together onto a watch plate. After the hand was formed and shaped into a clawlike grasp, it was encased in an antique silver watch case with beautiful floral engraving and greenish tinted glass. The case is able to open for a better view of the skeleton hand within. The case itself has been hollowed and ground so that only one strap end still exists, and from this, the necklace chain is strung. This is a very special and one of a kind piece, never to be reproduced exactly.

The Hallow is 27mm wide and 44mm tall. It comes on an 18" antiqued silver plated chain with links measuring 1.7mm. Longer or shorter chains can be made to order, so let us know in the checkout section if you require something different.

Premium Sterling Silver Round Cable chains are also available at extra cost:

It has great hided meaning. Time destroys everything. How beter to show this than by putting an skeleton-hand into clock cage?

Thank you. Very much so with different layers of meaning. We are driven to our ends by time. It rules and destroys us, and we have no way of halting its progress. I'm glad you appreciate that.

I adore this, the concept of the piece is so much fun and the hand is really well made. I wouldn't have guessed that it was recycled from watch stems
