Retrograde is made from a beautifully engraved mid 19th century brass balance bridge, antique balance wheel, and many brass gears all removed from old watches and reassembled into something new, special, and one-of-a-kind. Each part is hand placed and soldered with lead-free silver bearing solder (no hot glue or any glue allowed here!) Each piece has its own story and place in the world of A Mechanical Mind...no two pieces will ever be the same!

Retrograde is 22mm wide by 40mm tall and comes on an overall 18" (40 cm) antiqued silver plated chain with links measuring approximately 1.7 mm each. The chain may be made longer or shorter depending on your preference...please note this in the comments section when ordering if you are in need of a different size!

Premium Sterling Silver Round Cable chains are also available at extra cost:

I love your work! These are just awesome!. How durable are they? Being soldered together, can you wear them daily? bang them around and stuff?

Thanks for the compliment! They are pretty durable as every day wear, though some are more durable than others. I solder all my pieces instead of glueing for just that reason.
