This is a completely one of a kind handmade mechanical Butterfly made from the recycled parts of old watches.

His body is made out of a watch winding stem and balance staff.

His wings are made from antique watch faces that have been cut, sanded, and curved into wing shapes. The upper wings are from a green tinted watch, the lower from a copper dial.

His head is part of a watch plate with eyes made out of windin stem knobs soldered on. His antennae are watch hands. His tongue is a watch spring.

His legs were created with many different watch winding stems that have been cut into various sizes and soldered at the leg joints using lead free silver bearing solder.

He rests on a flower made from many copper colored watch dials which have been soldered onto a spring barrel.

There is no glue or resin to be found in the piece...everything is soldered into place with metal. This is a one of a kind work of art, never to be exactly reproduced.

Dimensions: 25mm wide 35mm front to back 28mm tall He comes with a 3\" by 4\" glass dome with walnut base for display. He is extremely fragile and should be handled sparingly and very gently, and is most definitely not a toy.
