Jumper by AMechanicalMind Jumper by AMechanicalMind
Jumper is a unique whimsical mechanical creature made from recycled watch parts.

His body is composed of watch stems, plates, brass gears and strap springs.

His many small eyes are watch strap springs, and his two large eyes are watch winding stem knobs.

His legs are watch stems and strap springs, while his pincers are watch plates.

Finally, his abdomen is a christmas light bulb.

All of his parts are hand assembled and soldered with a silver bearing lead free solder. No glue was used in the production of this piece.

Dimensions: 37mm wide by 59mm front to back by 23mm tall. He comes with a 3" by 4" glass dome with walnut base for display. He is extremely fragile and should be handled sparingly and very gently, and is most definitely not a toy.

As a retired R&D proto-type machinist, I find your work novel, whimsical, and unique. It has inspired me to take a crack at making a cyborg dragonfly. Thank you and keep building more of these wonderful creations! Ed.

Your work is whimsical, wonderful, and has inspired me to try and create my own "bugs" using watch parts and little fiddly bits from my store of micro-engineered parts. Please keep inspiring us with your fantastic miniature creations! Ed.
